Artist statement for crayon melt

Unfortunately I do not have a finish photo of the piece.
Will post later if allowed once I retrieve the object.

With the second time based drawing, The inspiration stems from my fascination with crayons. As a kid they were like dolls to me, each with their own personality, class, and voice. So melting them was super fun. I wanted it to be thick with color. And remembering how nicely crayons melt I utilized them.

Using a water heater that I fashioned out of my old water heater, aluminum for oil, and a hairdryer, I was able to accomplish this feat.

With this project what I wanted to say, is how overtime things become beautiful, if allowed the duration and work effort. So far this was the most enjoyed I felt by any of the projects
